On Friday the 25th of July, Great Rock in collaboration with Magic Rock Brewing present the Vain Vagrant video launch party in a fabulous old Baptist chapel in Hebden Bridge.

Releasing the latest Great Rock video gives us the chance to host a party to remember. Magic Rock will be running a bar with Vain Vagrant Pale Ale on tap and there will be many curiosities from the Great Rock world on display!

If you’d like to come (and you’re all welcome!) please let us know. We’ve gone all modern so you can say yes on our Face book event page http://bit.do/vain-vagrant

The Vain Vagrant is the sequel to the massive hit, “The Chop” http://vimeo.com/79572828  (34k plays on Vimeo and winner of the coveted Golden Helmet Award from the Filmed by Bike film festival in Portland, Oregon). The launch will be the premier with the video going online the following week. The video sees Ed resurrected from the dead in a most surprising way. He then goes on a surreal journey which includes sartorial elegance, bike porn, gratuitous mountain bike riding, fine ale appreciation and weird scenes of Hebden Bridge. As well as screening the Vain Vagrant we will show The Chop and In Search of Peaty, the last two Great Rock videos.

We’re going to have fabulous Santa Cruz Bicycles to look at and stroke along with the guys from the UK distributor to answer questions like, “where’s the engine” and “you could get a car for that.” Ed’s own bikes will also be on display.

There will be free hair cuts and beard trims by North West Barber Co. who starred in The Chop. The barber’s chair will be set in a pop up shop from The Weird and the Wonderful with antlers, butterflies and other natural history delights and odd ball items of taxidermy.

We’re also very lucky to have the talented tattooist Richard Lazenby from the Black Anchor Tattoo Sheffield Studio in Sheffield and he will be offering small commemorative tattoos at no cost! Richard might be in the new video tattooing Ed, but that’s a secret!

Dr Craig, from underground Hebden Bridge night Duende, will be spinning psychedelic folk and other acoustic delights on vinyl to keep us chilled and inspired.

Ace Canadian bike component company Chromag Bikes will have products on display to drool over.

The cycling clothing boutique Victor and Liberty will be bringing along a host of stylish Vulpine clothing as well as some other select pieces.

Bern UK will have a selection of cool helmets to check out. Alpine Outdoors, Hebden Bridge’s classy outdoor shop, will have outdoor gear porn. Hell we’ll even have some spot prizes to give out!
